Clinic Description:
Spring is the perfect time for the master skier, runner, and cyclist to work on their strength training. As we age past 35 years old we start to loose muscle mass and strength. Decline of strength and power with aging can be substantially slowed down by maintaining an active lifestyle.
The master athlete can increase muscle strength with specific strength training. Cara Battles, Dr. of Physical Therapy and Kim Rudd of Endurance Adventures are teaming up to provide simple body weight and resistance band strength training tips for the master endurance athlete.
During the clinic participants will learn the following exercises:
- Body weight strength training
- Resistance band exercises
- Mobility and injury prevention exercises
Clinic Schedule:
- 6:00 – 7:30 Strength and Mobility Exercises at Schaper Park
- 7:30 – 8:00 Healthy Post Workout snacks/beverages and presentation on Endurance Adventures upcoming trips (walk across the street to PRG Financial building for indoor presentation).
